This course introduces the three auxiliary machineries used onboard

such as; steering gear systems, purifier and refrigeration systems.

You will learn to:

• Interpret a schematic diagram and differentiate the types of steering gear by its system and construction

• Operate and troubleshoot the steering gear systems

• Identify the purifier parts and describes the operating principle of a purifier used onboard

  • Operate purifier while maintaining normal operating conditions according to a manufacturers manual

• Describes the components and operating principles of marine refrigeration systems

• Operate a refrigeration system while maintaining normal operating conditions according to a manufacturers manual

THIS COURSE DEALS WITH THE THREE AUXILLIRY MACHINERIES USED ONBOARD, NAMELY: STEERING GEAR SYSTEMS, PURIFIERS and REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.
